Privacy Policy

Last updated October 27, 2026

This policy covers the SayakaCleaner app for macOS and this website. SayakaCleaner is made by Genjux, an individual developer. Questions: genjux1024@gmail.com.

The short version

  • SayakaCleaner has no analytics, advertising or tracking, and no account.
  • Scan results, your saved folders, preferences and the record of what was cleaned stay on your Mac.
  • The app connects to the internet only when you check for updates.

What the app reads on your Mac

To find what can be cleaned, the app reads file and folder names, sizes and dates in the places it checks: your Downloads folder, supported app and developer cache locations in your home folder, the logs and caches of supported AI coding tools, and folders you add yourself. Apps lists the applications in your Applications folders and looks in your Library for their settings and caches when you pick one. Space reads only the folder you choose. File contents are not uploaded anywhere.

The Developer screen runs Apple's xcrun simctl on your Mac to list Xcode simulators and runtimes, and reads your Git worktrees. Settings › This Mac reads system figures such as processor, memory, disk space, network throughput, power and thermal state, only when you ask. None of this leaves your Mac.

The app is not sandboxed, so the macOS privacy permissions you grant (such as Full Disk Access, or permission to control Finder) apply. Removing an app owned by the system and emptying the Trash are done by Finder; any administrator password is entered in the macOS prompt, and SayakaCleaner never sees it.

What the app stores

Preferences, saved folders and a local journal of each cleanup are stored in your user Library on your Mac. They are not sent to us. Most of it lives in ~/Library/Application Support/SayakaCleaner, which you can delete at any time.

Local diagnostics and support

Diagnostic event logs stay in ~/Library/Logs/SayakaCleaner/diagnostics. Each file rotates at 10 MiB, with up to five backups; backups older than seven days are removed during rotation. Optional detailed logging turns off after 15 minutes or when the app restarts. Settings › Help & diagnostics can export a ZIP of filtered events, a random per-launch session identifier, app/core versions and permission status. It excludes file contents, file lists, paths, raw error text and native crash dumps. Nothing is uploaded. Review the archive before choosing to send it to us. If you do, we use it only to investigate your report and keep it only as long as needed for support.

Network use

When you choose Check for Updates, the app downloads a small update feed from our update host, and, if you choose to install, the signed update itself. Like any web request, this exposes your IP address and standard request details (such as the time and the app's user agent) to the host. No file names, scan results, system details or identifiers are sent. The app makes no other network connections.

This website

This site has no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; Cloudflare processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. Downloads of the app may be served from GitHub, which processes similar request data. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and keep them only as long as needed for that.

Payment information

SayakaCleaner is completely free. This website has no checkout and does not collect payment or billing details.

Children

SayakaCleaner is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
